EVENTS
 Up coming events.

We are changing things up a little and will no longer have open rides. We are also going to be attending British Bike Night on a regular basis, so if you have any questions about the clubs or rides you can talk to one of us there.

Please contact me if you have any questions at tonuptim@tonup-sd.com

July 28th -30th 2006 - MID-OHIO motorcycle races.

This may be kind of late notice for some, but it has been bounced around on the forum. This year a large number of Ton-Up members are going to Mid-Ohio to camp, drink some beer and watch motorcycles. Let me know if your interested in going. My plan is to fly to Memphis, eat some real bar-b-que ,see Sun Studios and then drive up with Larry. Should be tons of fun.

Sunday July 9th 2006 - Second Sunday Ride, click here for flyer

Southern California Norton Owners Club and the San Diego Ton-Up Club Palomar Ride!!!!!  this month we are going on a joint ride with the SoCal Norton Club. We are meeting at North County Motorcycle Center, 2305 Vineyard Ave., Escondido, Ca. 92029

Meet at 9am and RIDE LEAVES AT 10AM - NO WAITING!!!! We are expecting a large number of people. There will be coffee and donuts!!!! There is also plenty of parking for anyone trucking a bike from the LA area.

Sunday June 25th - San Diego Antique Motorcycle Club

18th Annual T-shirt Ride

Meet at the Kountry Kafe at 13715 Poway Rd. in Poway at 8:00am Ride leaves at 9:30

Contact me for more details.

Friday June 23rd - Some of us are thinking about heading up to Del Mar to check out the flattrack races that night. Anyone else interested contact me. OK here are some details for the event, we haven't picked a place or time to meet yet, you'll see why.

Round 4 of the Motion Pro Short Track Series - gates open at 1pm, practice starts at 3pm and racing starts at 5pm!!!! They have to conform with some kind of noise curfew. Makes it tough to meet somewhere and ride being a weekday and all. Price for parking is $8.00 and tickets to get in are $11.00. You can save $2 by buying a ticket to the fair at a Ralph's grocery store. Then check out the fair after the races?

We may end up just picking a place in the stands to meet. When things start this early on a week night people arrive at too many different times.

Check the links I put in the text for more details.

You know, someone takes a picture everytime we meet but I don't have one!!!!??

Maybe someone would like to send me one.

Second Sunday Ride June 11th

Well for those of you who weren't there today you missed a fun time! We
met at Shakespeare' s Pub at 9 am for some grub. Unlike last month it
was packed with World Cup fans. Luckily, the majority of them were
inside watching the game. I'm sure that one of the teams won.

We decided to ride up the coast since we didn't quite make it last
month. We rode to the top of Mount Soledad and then went looking for
the little people houses that were built sometime in the 30's or 40's.
From there we stopped at the Cove and watched the people go buy for a
while. The weather was absolutely perfect! Sunny with a nice cool
breeze. By now we were getting hungry again so we decided to grab some
Sushi. Yummy! What a fun day!

Don't forget. Next month is the joint ride between us and the Southern
California Norton Owners Club. I'll send out a flyer in a separate
email.

Cheers,
Jon
